Mooring inspection & service

A close look.
A complete service.

I inspect the mooring, measure its condition, service worn components as needed, reinstall the tackle, and document the finished job.

  1. Chain & wear points

Links and critical contact points are checked for wear, corrosion, deformation, and changes in condition.

  2. Shackles, pins & swivels

The hardware joining the system together is inspected closely, including pins and the points where components bear against one another.

  3. Buoy, pendants & surface gear

Buoy connections, nylon pendants, floats, markings, and accessible surface gear are checked for deterioration and proper connection.

  4. Underwater tackle

Submerged connections and tackle are inspected down to the concrete block, with attention to the condition of the system as a whole.

  5. Block Placement Guarantee

If the concrete block is moved during inspection or service, I return it to its proper mooring location before I consider the job complete.

What you take away

A record of the whole job.

Your documentation shows more than what I found. It records the condition of the mooring, what needed attention, what was serviced or replaced, and how the system was left when the work was complete.

Your documentation

  • What was inspected and measured
  • The condition found and items needing attention
  • Components serviced or replaced
  • The finished condition after service and reset

From scheduling to finished job

A straightforward process.

01 / Schedule

Tell me about your mooring.

Send me the mooring number or location, vessel information, and anything you’re concerned about. We’ll confirm the scope, timing, and cost.

02 / Inspect & Service

I get to the tackle and take care of what I find.

I hoist the entire mooring up to the surface so the working components can be inspected and measured directly. If worn components need replacement, I’m stocked for normal mooring service so they can be taken care of during the same visit.

03 / Reset & Document

The job gets finished properly.

The tackle is reinstalled and the block is placed where it belongs. Your inspection report includes GPS coordinates of the block before and after the inspection, along with documentation of the condition found and the work performed.

Is your mooring due?

Let’s take care of it.

Send me the mooring number or location and we’ll get the inspection scheduled.
